If you want to become a Clerk in the Indian Army, you must be relevant for Indian Army’s Soldier employment criteria. Indian Army conducts Open Rally and Soldier staffing drives to fill up Clerk vacancy.

12th passed students are qualified to apply for this position. If you have completed 10+2 from a familiar board, you are entitled to become a Clerk in the Indian Army! 12th pass students may also go for NDA Exam UPSC.

The job post call ‘Clerk’ falls below the ‘Soldier’ group. To be precise, the job post is recognized as Soldier Clerk or Store Warden Technical (SKT) (All Arms).

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

Passed 10+2 / Intermediate Exam  (Commerce, Arts, Science) with 60% marks in collective and 50% minimum Marks  in every subject. Should have deliberate and approved Mathematics / Accounts / English and Book Keeping in Class X or Class XII with 50% marks in every subject.

AGE LIMIT

The minimum and maximum age limit is 17 Years 6 months and 23 years respectively.

PHYSICAL STANDARDS

Candidate must  satisfy the bare minimum measurements set for Height ,Chest, and Weight. The region-wise size requirements are given below –

Height: Southern Region (166 cms).Eastern Plains Region (162 cms), Eastern Himalayan Region (160 cms), Western Himalayan Region (162 cms), Western Plains Region (162 cms), Central Region (162 cms).

Chest: Southern Region (77 cms), Western Himalayan Region (77 cms), Eastern Himalayan Region (77 cms), Eastern Plains Region (77 cms), Western Plains Region (77 cms), Central Region (77 cms), Southern Region (77 cms).

Weight: Southern Region (50 Kg), Western Himalayan Region (48 Kg), Eastern Plains Region (50 Kg), Eastern Himalayan Region (48 Kg), Western Plains Region (50 Kg), Central Region (50 Kg).

MEDICAL STANDARDS

  1. An applicant should have healthy build up and should posses good mental physical condition.
  2. Chest should be well furbished having least 5 cms growth on expansion.
  3. Should have usual hearing with each ear and good binocular reverie in both eyes. Candidate should be able to read 6/6 in distant vision chart with each eye. Colour vision should be CP – III (able to recognize white, red and green signal colors properly as shown by Martin’s lamp at 1.5 mtrs).
  4. Should have enough number of usual healthy gum and teeth i.e. at least 14 dental points.
  5. Should not have disease like irregularity of frame, hydrocele and varicocele or loads.
  6. Soldier applying for infantry should have 6/6 eye vision.
